Warley HQ, Brentwood

A new lease of life for the former Ford Motor Company Headquarters

On the former site of Warley barracks sat the Ford Motor Company UK Headquarters. The original building, opened in 1965, was designed by architect TP Bennet in the modernist architectural style, replicating Ford’s Detroit Head Office. In 2019, this site was obtained by developer Land Charter who instructed the original architects along with local architect John Finch Partnership to redesign the façade to give this structure a new lease of life while recognising its heritage.

This conversion saw the development of 330 luxury apartments spanning across 7 floors including penthouses. Every part of this development has been finished to a high specification, creating a premium living space. When designing the interiors, Land Charter made an enquiry about our brassware via a merchant who passed their request on to us. Working directly with the client, we talked them through our full offering of complete bathroom solutions with a selection of brands and styles to choose from. As a result, Land Charter expanded their specification to include a full solution of bathroom products. Sharing with us the layouts of the 67 different types of apartments that can be found within Warley HQ, our team were able to put together a range of visualisation for each layout which expressed the full product specification we could provide.

Working closely with Land Charter to develop their idea resulted in premium, contemporary bathroom designs featuring our MPRO showering and basin brassware in Brushed Bronze, matching basin wastes, overflows and bath fillers, a range of shower glass solutions, baths with shower screens and fitted showering kits and luxury ceramics with a matching flush plate. By having our wide selection of products and brands available, their premium bathroom designs achieved a coordinated and modern appearance.
